No New Prisons: Reimagining Communities Through Collective Organizing

Our spring event will be a special panel discussion about what it would look like to shift investment away from incarceration and into true public safety, transformation and healing. Activists with the National Council for Incarcerated and Formerly Incarcerated Women and Girls and their FreeHer Campaign will discuss their ongoing efforts to raise awareness and shift public opinion towards their goals: closing women's jails and prisons and ending incarceration of women, girls, trans and non-binary people.
